Sticky

Oatmeal splatters onto the floor from her tiny hands and her big swipes across the highchair tray. It's moments like these I think, "I wish I had a dog." Last night, I was reminded by a friend to loosen up. She doesn't know she said this to me, but in essence, that's what I heard. That's what I needed to hear.

So instead of wiping Maddie's face after every bite, I plopped the mushy mess down for her to experience and eat on her own. I mean, it's up her nose. Up. Her. Nose.

But whatever, maybe it smells good.

  1. I LOVE this! Love it!

What a great reminder that when things fall apart, sometimes we just let them and something good results.

  2. Luke Danes would refer to this phenomena as "jam hands" :) There is much more Gilmore Girls trivia to be learned...
