i don't have any more words

I think I have packed my words up in some boxes, labeled them "NY" and I'm waiting.

I've spent more time these past few weeks seeking and praying, listening and watching, and I've tried to expel excessive thoughts and words from my brain.

This verse burns in my bones, deep in my heart and echoes like a ravenous whisper when it comes time to pray. I have put this verse before my eyes, seeking the Word for truth, inspiration, direction. Setting my feet into its cool waters, finding the stones to stand on.
Because the Sovereign LORD helps me,
 I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint,
and I know I will not be put to shame. — (Isaiah 50:7)
So, in light of my lack of words and silent spirit, here are some pretty pictures I've taken while packing. I'm so grateful for simple beauty.

dried roses from valentine's day.

the globe that M and I sit and spin, and a stack of books

rugglesstitch hoop, from my friend Season.

(also, i have some amazing friends who write in this link-up. if you have time, go say hello to some of them!)

  1. I love that verse. And I love that He is so timeless, how His words have lived on for ages and yet, they can still pierce our hearts.

  2. I love that verse too. He's my go to man;) Isaiah. If I had another boy I might name him that. Pictures are good for the soul. Sometimes just to look at beauty and no words is refreshing...at least for me. How ya doing?
    Consider the work of God:
for who can make that straight,
    which he hath made crooked?
    Ecclesiastes 7:13
