By 5:30 a.m., I had already stripped my bedding. That's what happens when your toddler decides to wake you up at 5 a.m. with an over-soaked diaper, and starts peeing on your sheets. Yes, these things do happen.
My pathetic attempt to calculate my sleep for the perfect amount of time failed then.
(Control issues? Ya think?)
I grumbled my way to the living room, set her up with a warm cup of milk and attempted to doze off for another hour while she watched Playhouse Disney. This plan would've been magical, had she not crawled on top of my lap to headbutt me. By 5:45 a.m., I was icing a bleeding lip and she was screaming at the sight.
We attempted to right the morning with some music and hugs, but I think we were both glad to wave goodbye when I dropped her off at daycare. In fact, she didn't even wave. She strolled off past the little white gate and nodded her head when I said "Bye Love!"
If your day didn't start this way, I think you stand a better chance at having a fabulous weekend.
I, on the other hand, need to go Shout clean my mattress.
