'Twas a Weekend of Leisure

A weekend of baseball (antlers up, y'all!), BBC's North & South and straight hair.

A weekend to shop secondhand, try new recipes and write new songs.

thrift store treasures: one pair of Frederick's
of Hollywood stilettos ($4), one long plaid shirt ($2).

potato and mushroom golumpki (stuffed cabbage). it's a Polish thing.

For the little M, it was a weekend for big girl ponytails, a sleepover with her "Texas grandparents" and banana muffins.

And in dark mornings, late nights, sullen quiet, this weekend was long afternoons of thinking, daydreaming, musing, analyzing, processing.
