When hope is hungry, everything feeds it. ~ Mignon McLaughlin

My breath catches in the good way. I get a little giddy at nothing. A breeze suddenly carries so much more than just air and pollen. It brings something fresh.

Could that be peace? Maybe even a hope that cannot, would not be challenged?

I think so.

These are the kind of nights I want to preserve. Cherish.

Mostly because they are short-lived. They happen suddenly, without my planning. Their fragile veils burst quickly with dogs barking, children whining, june bugs buzzing. But for now. It exists.
