December 1

It's December. The month that distracts us with celebration as the last of the living things hide away, fall to the earth and brace for winter.

Whether it's the year, the season of life, the predictable waves of mood, we opted to celebrate the holidays throughout the whole season this year.

One fun and easy way for us was the Advent Calendar. It's not just a box with surprises or even just a nice piece for decoration. Instead, it's a daily reminder that He's coming. That there is a light about to burst onto dawn's horizon. That with every passing day, His footsteps fall closer to our doors. His songs of redemption and freedom echo in the hallways.

Advent Day 1: ADVENT - Celebrating the arrival of Christ.

(Deuteronomy 18:18) — I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren and will put my words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command.

Mom had one candy for each of us and we laughed as Maddie crushed a peppermint patty between her fingers and into her hair ears nose mouth.
